Rs 4,500 to test for coronavirus



KATHMANDU: The Bid Management is all set to conduct test for coronavirus with reasonable fee after obtaining the government’s permission for the same.

The laboratory established by the Bid Management will conduct test from Thursday, according to its BK Bhandari, the proprietor of the lab.

Bhandari said that his company got the permission from the government for RT-PCR test for COVID-19 by taking Rs 4500 as fee.

Five automated RNA extraction machines have already been installed at the laboratory established at Kupaldole in Lalitpur.

The laboratory has a capacity to test more than 4,000 samples in a day.

According to Bhandari, the report will be produced in five hours.
