KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MOCTCA) Yogesh Bhattarai made an unannounced visit to various departments under his Ministry today.

The move was aimed at making the Ministry’s performance more result-oriented.

It may be noted that Minister Bhatarrai had on June 28 summoned all the Department Heads under the Ministry to discuss the plan and programs of the Ministry and had warned to sack those employees shrieking their duties.

During the surprise visit, Bhattarai found out that some employees were absent in the offices. Thereafter, the Minister directed the employees division chief Rudrasingh Tamang to find out the reason behind the absenteeism among the staffers and make sure that they were discharging their duties regularly and were punctual.

He also instructed the concerned department to maintain cleanliness in the offices and pay attention towards the beautification of the office’s layout and ambiance.

Furthermore, Minister Bhattarai instructed the department chiefs to make the necessary preparation to run the office in the two shifts as per the decision of the government during this COVID-19 pandemic. RSS
