Coronavirus cases climb to 966 in Gandaki Pradesh



KATHMANDU: New 17 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Gandaki Pradesh on Tuesday morning.

According to a press note issued by the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh, the newly infected are one from Syangja, five from Tanahun, three from Lamjung and eight from  Kaski.

The new cases were confirmed during tests at Provincial Tuberculosis Center, Pokhara and Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences.

Preparations are underway to keep them in isolations of respective districts, said Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the Spokesperson for COVID-19 Control and Prevention Program of Gandaki Pradesh.

With this, the number of infection cases has reached 966 in Gandaki Pradesh.  Meanwhile, 214 people have returned home after recovery.
