Youth held while breaking ATM booth



BHAKTAPUR: Police arrested a man for attempting to steal money by breaking an ATM booth in Bhaktapur on Friday night.

Sachin Tamang, 21, of Sindhupalchowk, currently staying at Madhyapurthimi municipality-6, was arrested while he was trying to break the ATM installed at Sanjeev Chitrakar’s house in Bahakha Bazaar.

A team of police led by Police Inspector Rajib Giri arrested Tamang. Tamang was caught in the act of breaking the ATM of NIC Asia bank.

Meanwhile, police seized a hammer, a screw driver, a rod, and a broken outer cover of the ATM from Tamang.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking Tamang into custody of Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi.
