Government likely to announce ‘special relief package’ today



KATHMANDU: The government is set to announce what it calls a ‘special relief package’ for people affected owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

Prior to a cabinet meeting to be convened today, the high-level coordination committee to fight the pandemic led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel will discuss the government’s next move and recommend it to the cabinet.

The high-level committee is likely to make some decisions on the relief package.
