Final rites of Nepali man who died of COVID-19 in US performed



NEW YORK: Final rites of a Non-resident Nepali Anil Limbu who died of COVID-19 have been performed in absence of family members and relatives on Friday.

A cemetery company was assigned to perform the last rites as the presence of family members and relatives could risk the spread of the deadly virus.

Anil Subba, hailing from Panchthar district, died while undergoing treatment for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

Subba, born in Rani village of the district, had been living in New York for long along with his family and was involved in hotel and taxi businesses.

The deceased elder son too was infected with COVID-19 but has recovered after a few days of treatment.
