Luxembourg Foreign Minister Asselborn arrives in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn has arrived in Kathmandu on a two-day visit on Wednesday.

Minister Asselborn is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Oli on Thursday.

He will also hold bilateral talks with Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali at the Ministry in Singhdurbar on Wednesday.

Following the talks, Minister Gyawali will host a luncheon in honor of the visiting delegation.

On the same day, the Luxembourg side will organize a function to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Luxembourg.

The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1975.

This is the first ever visit to Nepal by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg.
