Agitating sugarcane farmer dies in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU:  A sugarcane farmer who came to Kathmandu asking for due payment of his sugarcane has died in the capital.

Narayan Raya Yadav of Dhankaul rural municipality, Rautahat who was rushed to Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center following complaints of chest pain died in the course of treatment this morning.

According to the hospital, he died of brain hemorrhage.  Yadav had been dissatisfied with the talks held with Minster for Industry Padma Aryal, according to another demonstrator.

Minister Aryal had also organized a farewell program to bid sugarcane farmers goodbye after reaching an agreement with them. Yadav, however, died before reaching home.
