Green Institute to organize Nepal Urban Dialogue 2020



KATHMANDU: Green Institute is organizing a two-day Nepal Urban Dialogue 2020 or NUD 2020 (virtual), Nepal’s first conference on urban issues.

NUD 2020 is an exclusive forum for national, provincial, local government, non-governmental organizations, and grassroots leaders.

It will engage national and international organizations, experts, scholars, the private sector, and academia to engage in intense debates, discussions and discourse on sustainable urban issues and innovations.

The NUD 2020 is going to be a virtual gathering in Nepal for exchanging knowledge, information, ideas, and experiences on urban issues.

Till now, more than 30 noted urban experts, professionals, practitioners, leaders have agreed to participate in the event as a speaker and engage in intense urban discourse.

The first session of the Nepal Urban Dialogue 2020 (NUD 2020) is taking place in Kathmandu, Nepal on 31st October-1st November 2020 (World Cities Day), in conjunction with Urban October (31 days of promoting a better urban future), an initiative of the UN-Habitat.


The Nepal Urban Dialogue 2020 has the following to offer a forum for national and international knowledge sharing on urban sustainability and governance issues, inform stakeholders and the general public on the contemporary challenges and opportunities on urban issues and try to find out scientific solutions to some critical urban problems among others.
