NA hands over Kotghar to Amargadhi Municipality

DADELDHURA: The Nepali Army has constructed a kotghar or an armoury and a library block at the historic site Amargadhi Killa (fort) here.

The facility has been handed over to Amargadhi Municipality.

The kotghar was constructed at a cost of two million rupees to keep arms and a library, said NA Ranadal Battalion.

Arms used during the Anglo Nepal war would be kept at the armoury. With this, tourists expected to visit the fort to see the ancient assets. Warrior Amar Singh Thapa had used this fort during the Anglo-Nepal war in 1847 BS.
