DOTI: Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Trilochan Bhatta, has directed the bodies concerned to take action against the contractors not completing the construction task within the deadline.

He directed the Chief District Officer of Doti, Bhim Prasad Bhattarai, to prepare the list of the contractors not meeting the project completion deadline as well as those contractors putting the construction projects in limbo without carrying out activities and recommend for action.

Chief District Officer Bhattarai said, “Chief Minister Bhatta has directed to prepare the list of contractors failing to complete the construction projects within the deadline as well as those putting the construction projects in limbo even after agreement. We will forward the process as per the direction.”

CM Bhatta directed the CDO Bhattarai after Doti folks complained to the chief minister about the dillydallying in most of the construction projects due to negligence of contractors, said CM Bhatta’s Chief Secretary, Shiva Singh Oli.

Enquiring why the activities to blacktop the road from Dipayal bridge to airport were not yet initiated, the Chief Minister Bhatta urged CDO Bhattarai to initiate the activities immediately or to recommend for action if activities are not carried out.

More than one dozen of construction projects are in limbo in the district due to negligence of contractors.
