112 new cases found in Province 1 in past 24 hours

BIRATNAGAR: One hundred twelve new COVID-19 infection cases were found in Province 1 in the past 24 hours.

The infected people included 78 men and 34 women (47 in Morang district, 24 in Sunsari, 19 each in Jhapa and Dhankuta, two in Sankhuwasabha and one from outside the Province), according to the Ministry of Social Development of the Province.

With this, the caseload in the Province has reached 3,216.

So far, 1,525 people have been discharged from various health institutions after being cured with nine people being free of the infection in the past 24 hours.

Nine suspected people have been kept in isolation. The total 86,422 people have been PCR tested for the infection with the tests of 1,220 in the past 24 hours, said the Ministry.
