COVID-19 infection cases reach 169 in Lamjung

KATHMANDU: The number of coronavirus cases has reached 169 in Lamjung district.

The coronavirus has spread to the community level after people from various walks of life including security personnel, media persons, health workers, businessmen, staffers were diagnosed with coronavirus.

As many as 26 persons tested positive for coronavirus during tests at the Regional Tuberculosis Center, Pokhara and Gandaki Provincial laboratory.

Two people including a media person who was doing time in quarantine of Madhya Nepal was diagnosed with the coronavirus on Friday morning.

Similarly, 24 people including a detainee were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Friday evening, informed District Police Office, Lamjung.

Further, a 47-year-old woman was also infected with infected with COVID-19 at District Community Hospital in Lamjung.

All the infected are staying in isolation, said Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Adhikari.

The number of infection cases has 169 as of Friday evening. Of them, 13 have recovered from virus in Lamjung district.
