Bank’s security guard dies of COVID-19 in Pokhara

POKHARA:  One more person has died from coronavirus pandemic in Pokhara.

The deceased has been identified as a security guard of Nabil Bank Sabhagriha branch, Pokhara.

The contact tracing of those who came into contact with the infected are underway, informed Jitendra Thapa of Pokhara Metropolitan City-14.

The security guard must have contracted the virus while visiting the hospital for treatment, said Thapa.

The deceased had been admitted to Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences on August 23.  He had been suffering from stomach-related ailments.

His swab was collected on August 24 after suspicion and its report came out positive on the same day.

He passed away on Friday in the course of treatment in isolation of the hospital.
