KATHMANDU: Process of parliamentary hearing of Nepali ambassadors proposed to be appointed for Belgium, Germany, and Pakistan has begun.

The Federal Parliamentary Hearing Committee has started the process along with a notice inviting complaints, if any, against the proposed candidates.

The government has proposed Joint Secretaries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tapas Adhikari (to Pakistan), Gehendra Rajbhandari (to Belgum and EU), and Ram Kaji Khadka (to Germany) as the new ambassadors of Nepal.

Their names have been sent for the parliamentary hearing.

A meeting of the Committee had on Friday decided to publish a notice seeking complaints within 10 days on the proposed candidates, according to its Chair Laxman Lal Karna.

Following endorsement by the parliamentary hearing committee, the appointments are made by the President on the recommendation of the government.
