Two succumb to coronavirus in Parsa, Nepal’s death toll reaches 51



PARSA: Two persons have succumbed to coronavirus in Birgunj of Parsa district on Wednesday. With this, Nepal’s death toll from coronavirus has reached 51.

Dr Madan Kumar Upadhyaya, the Medical Superintendent of the Birgunj-based Narayani Hospital, confirmed the deaths of two males — aged 70 and 65 — undergoing treatment at the National Medical College.

The swab test conducted at the Narayani Hospital laboratory of both the deceased had come positive.

The 70-year-old from Birgunj was admitted to the hospital after suffering from diarrhea. He was also a kidney-patient, according to Dr Upadhyaya.

Likewise, another 65-year-old deceased was a heart patient.
