National Assembly endorses bills



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly (NA) today unanimously endorsed a proposal to consider over the House of Representatives (HoR) amendment in regard to the Federation, State and Local Level (interrelations management) Bill-2075 BS.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Shiva Maya Tumbahanghphe presented the proposal in the meeting on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Similarly, the meeting unanimously entertained a proposal presented by Finance Minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada seeking consideration over the amendment to the ‘Citizens Investment Trust (second amendment) Bill-2075 BS made by the HoR.

Meanwhile, Delegation Management and Government Assurance Committee president Ram Narayan Bidari presented a report on the archiving of documents of national importance-2075 BS before the meeting.

NA Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina read out letters mentioning the authentications of the bill to amend some Nepal’s acts relating to education, the bill to amend and integrate laws related to sports development and the bill to use and regulate radioactive materials received from the Office of President. The NA next session will take place at 1:00 pm on Wednesday.
