116 cops of Kalimati Police Circle report COVID-19 negative

KATHMANDU:  A total of 116 police whose swab was sent to Teku based National Public Health Laboratory for the COVID-19 test has come out negative.

116 police personnel of Metropolitan Police Circle Kalimati tested for coronavirus are found to have no infection of the pandemic.

Earlier, one police sub-inspector and a constable of Kalimati Circle had tested coronavirus positive.

Immediately after the incident, the 231 swabs of the people who had come into contact with those two were sent to Teku for tests.

According to SSP Shyam Gyawali, the chief of Metropolitan Police Office Kathmandu, 116 reports of those 231 swabs sent for tests have come negative.

“As the result of the rest swabs has not come yet, they are still kept in the quarantine,” SSP Gyawali said.
