Rain coupled with thunderstorms forecast today



KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted rain coupled with thunderstorms and lightning today.

Rain accompanied by gusty winds and lightning have been forecast in various parts of the country due to the water vapor arising from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea.

Currently, few places in the hilly regions of the western and eastern regions are witnessing rains.

Meteorologists have predicted generally cloudy weather towards the afternoon with chances of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds in many places in the country.

Similarly, generally cloudy weather is predicted in the central and eastern regions with chances of thunderstorms and lightning, according to MFD.

With the start of the pre-monsoon, the country is witnessing rain almost every day since the last few days.
