SINJA: A year after installing the CT Scan machine in Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) in Jumla, the KAHS is now all set to provide neurosurgery service.

According to KAHS’s Director Dr. Mangal Rawal, the Hospital here was going to start the neurosurgery after neurosurgeon Dr. Nilam Khadka joined the Academy Friday.

Earlier Dr. Khadka was working as an associate professor at the National Academy of Medical Science (NAMS). With Dr. Khadka’s appointment in the Academy, the patients in need of neurosurgery need not go elsewhere.

Such patients here were earlier compelled to go either Nepalgunj or Kathmandu in lack of the facility in the KAHS, said Dr. Rawal.
