Speaker Sapkota takes stock of Mainali’s health condition

KATHMANDU: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota on Friday took stock of the health condition of General Secretary of Communist Party of Nepal Marxist-Leninist CP Mainali injured in a road mishap.

Speaker Sapkota reached Grande Hospital in Dhapasi to take information about the health condition of the leader and his family members and wished them a speedy recovery.

According to doctors attending to the former Deputy Prime Minister, he is gradually recuperating and is out of danger.

He was airlifted to Kathmandu through a chopper of the Nepal Army on Thursday.

The accident occurred when his car Ba 7 Cha 2120 coming to Kathmandu from Jhapa collided head-on with a pick-up van, Na 4 Cha 7680, coming from the opposite direction in Bardibas of Mahottari district.

Five including Mainali, his son Saroj, 30, daughter-in-law Puja Dhungana, five-year-old grandson and driver Ram Prasad Poudel were injured in the accident.
