Quarantined Nepalis undergoing test for 2nd time on Saturday  



KATHMANDU: A preparation is underway to conduct screening Saturday on the 175 Nepali people being quarantined at Kharipati in Bhaktapur district for the second time.

If they tested negative for coronavirus they will be sent back to their respective houses on Wednesday.

The screening is being conducted on them on the 14th day (February 29) to diagnose whether they are infected with coronavirus.

On February 15, a total of 175 Nepalis had been airlifted from Wuhan City of Hubei Province of China, the epicenter of coronavirus. They had been staying in the quarantine camp at Kharipati since February 16.

On Saturday, the saliva swab of 175 people will be collected for screening as prescribed by the WHO, informed Sagar Dahal, deputy spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population.

The underwent screening on February for the first time. The report showed they were not infected with the virus.

Teku Hospital will collect their saliva swab while its results will come after three days.

If their sample tested negative for COVID19, they will be sent back to their respective houses on Wednesday.
