CPN (ML) Gen Secy CP Mainali recuperating



KATHMANDU: General Secretary of Nepal Communist Party Marxist-Leninist, CP Mainali, seriously injured in a road mishap, is gradually recuperating. His health condition is out of danger.

Mainali got his right leg broken but has not received internal injuries in the mishap Chief of Sports Division of the party Shankar Pokharel quoted doctors attending to the leader as saying.

“His health condition is normal. No internal injuries were found during the CT scan. He has now started talking,” Pokharel said.

He was airlifted to Kathmandu through a chopper of the Nepal Army.

The accident occurred when his car Ba 7 Cha 2120 coming to Kathmandu from Jhapa collided head-on with a pick-up van, Na 4 Cha 7680, coming from the opposite direction in Bardibas of Mahottari district.

Five including Mainali, his son Saroj, 30, daughter-in-law Puja Dhungana, five-year-old grandson and driver Ram Prasad Poudel were injured in the accident.
