Indian nat’l sentenced to 8 yrs in jail for acid attack



MAKWANPUR:  District Court, Makwanpur sentenced Indian national Dilip Raj Keshari to eight years in jail along with a fine of Rs 100,000 for attacking Bindabasini Kanshakar of Hetauda with acid.

Similarly, the court has also ordered the perpetrator to cough up Rs 11,400,085 incurred during the treatment of the victim.

A single bench of district Judge Kamal Raj Bista on Thursday issued the order to this effect.

On April 22, 2013, Keshari had attacked Kanshakar with the acid for rejecting his marriage proposal while she was sitting in a shop.
