KATHMANDU: Secretariat member and Spokesperson of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Narayan Kaji Shrestha said the decision on Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) will be made taking the national interest into consideration.

Talking to journalists at his residence in Hattiban on Tuesday morning, Shrestha said the NCP Secretariat will take a decision on MCC keeping the national interest in mind.

NCP Standing Committee meeting held on December 23 had mandated its secretariat to take a final call on this issue.

The MCC, a US grant assistance wort US $500 million meant for Nepal has courted controversy after the ruling NCP leaders are divided on it.
