Shekhar Koirala expresses concern on threat hovering over democracy

KATHMANDU: Influencing leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Dr. Shekhar Koirala has urged all to be alert and aware of the threat to democracy.

Speaking at a blood donation program organized by NC Sunsari- Kathmandu Coordination Committee on Saturday, NC leader Koirala remarked that the corruption and notorious activities of the incumbent government are likely to create a negative impression about the system itself, hence he requested all to be united to safeguard democracy.

“The democratic institutions and democracy have been put at stake due to the wrong deeds of the government, so it’s high for the democratic forces to remain vigil about the threats on the system,” he said in the program.

NC leader Koirala also asked all to contribute their best to make the general convention of Nepali Congress successful at the previously scheduled time.
