Nepali man killed in Jammu and Kashmir firing



KATHMANDU: A Nepali man serving in the Indian Army has died in the line of duty after he was injured in unprovoked firing by Pakistani forces along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.

The deceased is Corporal Prem Bahadur Khatri of Tulsipur-9, Beluwa of Dang district.
Khatri, 30, was in the line of duty at Sunderbani Sector in Rajouri district when he was killed in the  firing on Friday.

Khatri who sustained critical injuries in the firing opened by the Pakistani side passed away in the course of treatment, said the Ministry of Defense of the Government of India.

Khatri had joined the Indian Army 13 years ago, according to his family sources. He is survived by his father, mother, wife, a daughter and a son.
