Traffic resumes on Bhimphedi- Kulekhani road section



KATHMANDU: Traffic has resumed along the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani road section which was obstructed due to the landslide occurred some days back following incessant rain.

The road section was opened for traffic this morning after the landslide debris deposited along the road section at various places was removed.

Landslide at multiple places of Bhimphedi rural municipality -6 and Indrasarovar rural municipality-2 had blocked the road section.

The road to Kathmandu from Hetauda via Kulekhani-Phakhel has been opened since 8.0 this morning, the Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Surendra Shrestha, said.

However, the road from Hetauda to Kathmandu via Sisneri is still blocked due to the landslide, the area Police Office Bhimphedi has stated. This road will also be opened for traffic by the evening today, police said.
