India reports over 77,000 COVID-19 cases in a single day



NEW DELHI: More than 77,000 people have been infected with coronavirus in a single day in India.

According to the latest updates provided by the government authorities of India, 77,266 people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours in India.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 57 people succumbed to the coronavirus durng the same period.

With this, the number of deaths from the coronavirus has reached 61,529 in India as of Friday morning.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, as many as 3,384,575 people have been infected with the virus. Of them, 2,583,063 people have recovered.

Currently, 739,818 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the country, of which 8,944 are critical.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last December, the coronavirus has infected 24,650,477 and killed 836,049 people across the world.
