KATHMANDU: Ambassador of China to Nepal, Hou Yanqi, paid a courtesy call on the senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Poudel, at his residence at local Bohorataar today.
The meeting between ambassador Hou and leader Poudel coincides with the 65th anniversary of the establishment of formal relations between Nepal and China, Poudel’s private secretariat stated.
On the occasion, they discussed the ties between the Nepali Congress and the Communist Party of China since the time of the popular leader of Nepal, BP Koirala and Chinese leader Mao-tse-Tung.
They also held talks on the success the Chinese government has achieved in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and its support to Nepal in the prevention and control of this pandemic.
