Girl raped in Dhanusha



DHANUSHA: A girl has been raped at Kshireshwornath municipality in Dhanusha district on Monday night.

According to the Area Police Office, Mahendranagar, Kalam Raien, 28, of Kshireshwornath municipality-3 raped the 18-year-old girl of the same locality.

The incident took place when she had gone to answer nature’s call. The victim said that Kalam raped taking her to a ground threatening her.

Locals found Kalam on the way when he was going to drop the girl at her house in course of searching the girl after she did not return home for long.

The locals took Kalam under control after the girl cried and told about the incident on seeing the locals coming towards her.

Police Inspector Pappu Nayak said that Kalam has been arrested on the charge of rape and health test of the victim girl and Kalam has been carried out at Provincial Hospital, Janakpur, today.

Further investigations into the case are underway, he added.
