One dies, four taken ill after consuming wild mushroom



DADELDHURA:  A minor died and four others were taken ill after consuming wild mushrooms in Dadeldhura district.

According to District Police Office, Dadeldhura, eight-year-old minor Lalit Dhami died after eating wild mushrooms brought from a jungle in Nawadurga rural municipality-3.

Critically ill Dhami passed away while being rushed to Seti Provincial Hospital for treatment.

The minor’s body has been kept at the hospital for postmortem.

Other members of the family who became ill due to mushroom consumption – the deceased’s mother Bisna Dhami and other three sisters – are undergoing treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital, said police.
