Minister Bhattarai warns of ousting unproductive staffers



KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai today warned that he would be compelled to fire staffers of the ministry if they did not perform duties satisfactorily.

Addressing a meeting in the ministry today, Minister Bhattarai urhed all senior officials at the ministry to be proactive with the beginning of the new fiscal year 2020/21.

Minister Bhattarai said since we do not want any passive staffers, we need to oust people who cannot perform.

“I also want to make it clear that nobody should blame the minister for taking this step as I have informed you in advance,” he warned.

Likewise, he also said that he would also adopt the policy of reward and punishment based on the performance of the staffers.
