Glass Animals postpone release of ‘Dreamland’

LONDON: Glass Animals, an English psychedelic pop band in Oxford, postponed the release of their album ‘Dreamland’ in a bid to focus on the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement as well as the discussions taking place around racism around the world.

The ‘Dreamland’ was originally slated for a July 10 release. However, the band says it now release the record on August 7 this year.

In an Instagram post on June 28, the band said they were all set to share one of the main singles from the album but it ‘couldn’t have felt more like the wrong time’ to release the new music.

The band said as all minds and eyes needed to be focused on civil rights as well as to defeat prejudice, it decided to pause their album release plan indefinitely.

Led by singer Dave Bayley, the band features his childhood friends Ed Irwin, Joe Seaward and Drew MacFarlane.
