COVID-19-infected security officials climb to 17

KATHMANDU: The number of Coronavirus cases among security personnel has reached 17 as of Wednesday morning.

A total of 17 security personnel from Nepal Police and Armed Police Force  have been affected with the Coronavirus pandemic so far, said DIG Niraj Shahi, central spokesperson of the Nepal Police.

Those infected include 7 from Bara, 2 each from Dhankuta, Kathmandu, Dhanusha and Kapilvastu, 1 each from Banke and Dhanusha, informed Shahi.

Meanwhile, the results of 231 police officials of Kalimati are yet to be awaited.

Among those infected with the virus are 13 from Nepal Police and 4 are from Armed Police Force, according to DIG Prabin Shrestha.
