KATHMANDU: With Nepal reporting 114 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, the number of coronavirus positive cases have reached 886 in the country.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, new cases were seen districts, including Baglung, Rautahat, Jhapa, Makawanpur, Saptari, Mahottari, Bara, Rautahat, Siraha, Dhanusha, Banke, Kapilvastu, Arghakhanchi, Gulmi, Rupandehi, Kailali, Achham, Syangja and Surkhet districts.
Among the confirmed today include eight in Bodebasain municipality, two in Balanbibhul rural municipality and one in Surunga municipality of Saptari district.
Likewise, two in Gauradaha municipality and 15 in Kachankawal municipality of Jhapa have tested positive to COVID-19.
The infected include one in Hetauda of Makawanpur, seven in Gadhimai municipality of Rautahat, four in Tamankhola rural municipality and two in Badigad rural municipality of Baglung and three in Puthauttarganga rural municipality of Rukum (East), seven in Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city and eight in Lamahi municipality of Dang, two in Duduwa rural municipality, seven in Rapti Sonari rural municipality, six in Baijanath rural municipality and one in Khajura rural municipality of Banke.
Other tested positive to coronavirus are one in Siddicharan municipality of Siraha, a permanent resident of Siraha and currently living in Rupani of Saptari, seven in Parcauda of Bara, a permanent resident of Rautahat and currently residing in Bara, eight in Gaur municipality, two in Dewahi Bhonahi municipality, two in Katahariya municipality and 16 in other different areas of Rautahat.
All these confirmed have been kept in quarantine facilities, the spokesperson said.
As many as 35 people have tested positive in Rautahat district on Wednesday. Likewise, Jhapa reported 17 news cases today. Dang reported 15 new cases, Baglung 6, Bara 8, Saptari 11, Surkhet 15, Banke 16, Siraha 2, and Rukum East 3.
Meanwhile, a total of 28 have been discharged from various hospitals on Tuesday and Wednesday. With this, the total number of discharged after recovery has reached 183 so far.
So far, coronavirus has been spread to 47 of the 77 districts of the country.
The State-5 has the highest number of COVID-19 infected people. As many as 365 people have tested positive to the virus in nine districts of the State.
The Sudur Paschim State has the lowest number of infected people with 17 in its five districts, the health ministry sources said.
Likewise, the State-1 has 103 infected in its seven districts followed by 324 in State 2; 39 in Bagmati State; 13 in Gandaki State and 25 in Karnali State.
Likewise, as many as 70,305 people are in different quarantines, and 699 are in isolation across the country.
A total of four people have died of coronavirus in Nepal so far.
