CPN (ML) Gen Secy CP Mainali out of danger



KATHMANDU: General Secretary of Nepal Communist Party Marxist-Leninist, CP Mainali, seriously injured in a road mishap, is out of danger.

Chief of Sports Division of the party Shankar Pokharel quoting doctors attending to the leader said that Mainali got his right leg broken but has not received internal injuries in the mishap.

“His health condition is normal. No internal injuries were found during the CT scan. He has now started talking,” Pokharel said.

He was airlifted to Kathmandu through a chopper of the Nepal Army (NA).

The accident occurred when his car Ba 7 Cha 2120 coming to Kathmandu from Jhapa collided head-on with a pick-up van Na 4 Cha 7680 coming from the opposite direction in Bardibas of Mahottari district.

Five including Mainali, his son Saroj, 30, daughter-in-law Puja Dhungana, five-year-old grandson and driver Ram Prasad Poudel have been injured in the accident.
