KATHMANDU: Chairman of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal says he would make sure that disputes among the party leaders would be resolved to avert possible split of the party.

Speaking at training of party cadres in Kathmandu on Thursday, Dahal expressed his commitment to working towards making the party intact.

“A party cannot be a pond where the waters become contaminated. Discussions and disputes are common in a party,” he told party cadres adding, “Therefore, I will remain effortful to keep the party intact.”

Dismissing any disputes between him and Prime Minister KP Oli as reported, Dahal urged party cadres not to run after media reports. “Such disputes are normal in a political party,” he said.

“Yes, we engage in disputes but this does not mean that this will remain forever. We narrow down differences in a jiffy,” Dahal said.
