Hearing Committee endorses Shrestha as JC member



KATHMANDU: The name of Ram Prasad Shrestha proposed as a member of the Judicial Council (JC) has been unanimously approved by the Parliamentary Hearing Committee.

Shrestha’s name was unanimously approved in the meeting of the parliamentary hearing committee held on Friday, said committee Chairman Laxman Lal Karna.

The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) had recommended the name of senior advocate Shrestha as a JC member.

With the approval of the parliamentary hearing committee, Shrestha will be a member of the council for four years.
