Three border points in Darchula opened for few days

DHANGADHI: With consent from the local levels of both sides, three checkpoints of Nepal India border in Darchula have been opened for a few days.

Issuing a public notice on Friday, District Administration Office Darchula has informed that Lali, Jauljivi and Khalaga Pulghat border points of Darchula have been opened to facilitate the movement of Nepalis getting pension from India.

The DAO has clarified that the border has been opened only for pension and bank account renewal purpose.

The local levels had requested to facilitate the border problem as the pensioners and their relatives faced lots of problem due to the travel ban meant to curb coronavirus pandemic.

The DAO has also published the schedule of the time when the border will be open.

According to the district administration sources, Pulghat and Jauljivi border point will be open from 10 am to 11 am in the morning and 4pm to 5 pm in the evening from November 26 to November 29 whereas Lalipul border will be open from November 26 to 28. Lalipul border will also remain open only from 10 am to 11 am in the morning and 4 pm to 5 pm in the evening.
