RSP ahead in 14 of 15 seats across Kathmandu Valley



KATHMANDU: Preliminary results from the House of Representatives elections held on Thursday show the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leading in most constituencies of the Kathmandu Valley.

According to the latest vote count, the RSP is ahead in 14 of the Valley’s 15 constituencies, trailing only in Lalitpur-1.

The party is leading in all 10 constituencies of Kathmandu district, two in Lalitpur, and two in Bhaktapur. Ranju Darshana is leading in Kathmandu-1, Sunil KC in Kathmandu-2, Rajunath Pandey in Kathmandu-3, Pukar Bam in Kathmandu-4, Sasmit Pokharel in Kathmandu-5, Shishir Khanal in Kathmandu-6, Ganesh Parajuli in Kathmandu-7, Biraj Bhakta Maharjan in Kathmandu-8, DP Aryal in Kathmandu-9, and Pradeep Bista in Kathmandu-10.

In Lalitpur, Jagadish Kharel is leading in Lalitpur-3 and Dr. Toshima Karki in Lalitpur-2, while Nepali Congress candidate Udaya Shumsher Rana is ahead in Lalitpur-1.

In Bhaktapur, RSP candidates are leading in both constituencies. Rukesh Ranjit is ahead in Bhaktapur-1, while Rajiv Khatri is leading in Bhaktapur-2.
