Coronavirus patient undergoing treatment thru plasma therapy dies

BUTWAL: One more coronavirus patient has died while undergoing treatment through plasma therapy  in COVID Special Hospital Butwal on Thursday.

According to Dr. Bishnu Gautam, the spokesperson of Lumbini Provincial Hospital, a 70-year-old woman of Tilottama-2, Janaki Nagar Rupandehi died in the hospital.

He informed that she was found coronavirus positive on August 10 and was receiving treatment in home-isolation till August 15.

When her health deteriorated, she was admitted to Corona Hospital, Butwal.

She was receiving care on ventilator since the last 4 days.

She was being treated through plasma therapy method unless her situation further aggravated from Wednesday night.

The hospital was planning to give her next doze of plasma therapy on Thursday.

According to Dr. Gautam, the woman was suffering from high blood pressure as well.
