50-yr-old dies of coronavirus at Butwal COVID-19 Hospital



BUTWAL: One more person infected with COVID-19 has died in the course of treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal.

According to Dr Sudarshan Thapa, the focal person of COVID-19 Special Hospital, a 50-year-old man succumbed to the virus while undergoing treatment on Wednesday night.

Originally from Taulihawa municipality-1,Kapilvastu, the man had  been admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with the  coronavirus.

The man had also been suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes and anemia. He then had been put on a ventilator after his condition deteriorated.

With this, the number of people to have died from the coronavirus has reached three in Kapilvastu.

According to Dr Thapa, six people including two from Rupandehi and one from Pyuthan have died from coronavirus at this hospital.

Preparations are underway to dispose the dead body.
