52 including 5-month-old baby infected with COVID-19 in Chitwan



CHITWAN: As many as 52 people including a five-month-old baby were found to have been infected with the coronavirus in Chitwan district on Wednesday night.

The five-month-old baby of Madi municipality-5 was among those infected during tests carried out at the laboratory of Bharatupur Hospital on last night.

A total of 26 people tested positive for coronavirus during tests at the laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital and 26 others were diagnosed with the virus at the laboratory of Chitwan Medical College.

Those who tested at the laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital are 25 from Chitwan and one is from Tahanun, Devghat.

The confirmed cases are 14 (12 men and two women) from Ratnagar municipality. They were in the quarantine of Ratnanagar.

Similarly, those who confirmed during tests at Chitwan Medical College are 16 from Bharatpur Metropolitan City while the rest are from Ratnanagar (4), Nawalpur (3), Sarlahi (2) and Tanahun (1).
