Probe report on West Rukum murder case forwarded to govt

KATHMANDU: A probe report on West Rukum murder case readied by a special parliamentary committee has been forwarded to the government.

Speaker’s press coordinator Shridhar Neupane said that the report was sent to the government for the implementation as the Parliament session is currently prorogued.

Coordinator of the committee Nepal Communist Party (NCP) lawmaker Devendra Poudel had handed over the investigation report to Speaker Agni Sapkota on July 14.

The House of Representatives on June 8 had formed a nine-member parliamentary special committee under the coordination of Poudel to investigate the Chaurjahari incident in Rukum West district.

Some six youths of Jajarkot were murdered when 21-year-old Nabaraj BK of Bheri municipality 4, Jajarkot went with 18 other friends to elope his girlfriend, 17, of Chaurjahari-8, Soti on May 23.
