Dr Govinda KC warns of hunger strike yet again



KATHMANDU: Senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC warned of hunger strike again if the government did not implement the agreements reached with the latter within three weeks.

Dr KC, a crusader for the reforms in the medical education sector in Nepal, has reached Jumla in a helicopter.

KC has demanded that the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences should immediately begin MBBS classes, amendment to Medical Education Act as per the agreement of July 16, 2018, arrangement of 70 percent of seats in the master’s degree level and rectification in the appointment at the Institute of Medicine (IOM) made by breaching seniority.
