Coronavirus cases reach 859 in Sudurpashchim Pradesh



DHANGADHI: The number of coronavirus cases has reached 859 in Sudurpashchim Pradesh after 221 new cases were confirmed on Friday.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of  Sudurpashchim Pradesh, the newly infected are 37 from Kailali, 44 from Kanchanpur, 71 from Doti, one from Dadeldhura, three from Darchula, nine from Bajhang, 27 from Bajura, 25 from Baitadi and two from Achham.

Kailali district is the hardest-hit with 553 confirmed cases as of Friday.

186  new cases were confirmed during tests at National Public Health Laboratory, Teku and 35 at  the lab of Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi.

A total of 528 people have recovered from the novel virus in the province.
