KATHMANDU: Coronavirus suspects have escaped from the quarantine of Kapilvastu. According to Kiran Singh, Mayor of Kapilvastu municipality-4, 35 out of 43 people who had been kept in the quarantine of Sundar Primary School have escaped.

Sing said the 35 Coronavirus suspects escaped due to poor management of the quarantine. He further said that federal and provincial governments paid no heed to the proper management of the quarantine.

“Coronavirus suspects have escaped. This is true,” said Mayor Singh, adding, “A mayor alone can do nothing.  The administration is not cooperating nor is there any assistance form the Federal and provincial governments,” said Singh.

He further said that local unit has not received any screening kits from the central and the provincial governments.
