Aussies in Nepal to return through chartered flights

KATHMANDU: The government of Australia has asked all its nationals stranded in Nepal during coronavirus lockdown to be prepared for their flight back home through chartered flights.

The citizens to be rescued include all Australian nationals in Nepal and Nepalis with Australian permanent residence permit.

NRN Australia’s General Secretary Dr. Gynendra Regmi verified the news saying, “Australian government has asked all its nationals and Australia’s PR holder Nepalis to contact at Australian Embassy in Kathmandu.”

Keeping in mind the trauma the Aussies abroad may face due to wide-spreading COVID-19, the government has decided to take its citizens back home through the chartered flights.

As the prospective returnees have to go through some health related formalities, the Australian Embassy has asked them all to contact the embassy in Kathmandu.
