Two more corona-virus cases reported in Kathmandu

Sample sent to Hong Kong for further verification

KATHMANDU: Two more coronavirus infection cases have been reported in Kathmandu.

According to the Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Kathmandu, a male and another female, who returned to Nepal from China are undergoing treatment in the isolation ward in the hospital.

“A male, 28, and a female, 48, are undergoing treatment fearing they may have corona-virus,” sources at the Shukraraj Hospital told Khabarhub.

According to the sources, the woman who had been to China to take part in a program returned to Nepal and visited the Teku-based hospital on January 25. Likewise, the other person had China as his transit while returning home from a third country. The man came to Nepal on January 24.

Both are suffering from high fever and respiratory problems.

“Both the suspected coronavirus patients have shown the symptoms like difficulty in breathing, cough, and fever,” sources said. “The primary symptoms make room for the assumptions they might have corona infection.”

Sources also claimed that their sample had been sent for the test in Hong Kong and could be verified only after getting the results.

Earlier a youth returning from China was found to be suffering from coronavirus infection.
